The Endless Arc started in GY 86 with 10 acres and a bay grade mare named Midge. Since then, we have expanded our facilities to cover 300 acres, and over 400 horses have at some point called TEA their home. TEA has held many different faces, but our core values of horsemanship, patience, and passion have not changed.
Gwen, the first owner of TEA, first started seriously breeding Anglo-Arabs in GY 90. She fell in love with a palomino mare, Singer, and an Arabian stallion, Leo. Not long after, Gwen made a risky investment in Sunny. Those three horses were the founding parents of our very successful line of Anglo-Arab 'chasers. As of the end of our Anglo-Arab program, we have bred 66 Anglo-Arabs that received their Grand Champion title or higher, along with a smattering of Thoroughbred and Arabian champions that furthered our 'chaser lines.
The success continued through the generations, and TEA expanded accordingly to include a first-rate steeplechase facility, as well as more barns and land for pasture as the herd numbers increased. In GY 170, Gwen's great-grandson, Liam, took over the farm from his mother and changed the focus from steeplechase to Three-Day Eventing. In GY 220, Liam's oldest children took over TEA and started incorporating the old Anglo-Arab lines into new Hanoverian lines. However, neither Rhiannon nor Eric were particularly interested in showing, and their attention was split between furthering their schooling and managing the farm.
Finally, in GY 233 they passed TEA down to Rhiannon's daughter, Phoebe, who is now managing a small herd of about 45 Hanoverians and Anglo-Arabs. Phoebe has decided to keep the focus on Hanoverians and incorporate generations of careful Anglo-Arab breeding into our new TEA Hanoverian lines.
